01Which wind direction works at Kijkduin
Wind from the northwest blows straight onto the beach. Safe is wind from southwest (226°) through northwest to northeast (36°).
- Side-onshore 240° to 290° and 330° to 20°: the best angle: you ride back and forth easily and the wind pushes you back to the sand.
- Straight onshore 290° to 330°: safe, you always wash up on the beach, but getting away from the shore takes effort.
- Side-shore 20° to 36° and 226° to 240°: good to ride, but you do not drift back by yourself; stay close to the shore.
- Offshore 36° to 226°: the wind blows you out to sea; Kitewind does not count these hours as a session.
Everything outside that is offshore: the wind blows you out to sea. Why that is the biggest risk.

| Current | The current and the rip currents can be treacherous. |
| Zones | From 1 June up to and including 31 August and on 1 January, between the breakwaters in The Hague you may only kite in the sections the municipality has designated. All year round a life jacket is compulsory and you may not hinder swimmers. |
| Parking and facilities | Free parking. Food, drinks, toilets, showers, storage and an air pump. |
